Good Samaritan Merger With Jeff and Mike

Tips for Change podcast with Jeff Schmidt and Mike Gardner

Today, we are speaking with Jeff Schmidt, the President and CEO of Voyage Federal Credit Union. Along with Mike Gardner, former CEO of Good Samaritan Federal Credit Union and now Vice President of member engagement at Voyage FCU. They have come to speak on the podcast to discuss the story of the Good Samaritan FCU company merger. During the podcast, Jeff and Mike discuss what Good Samaritan FCU was and why the two companies have decided to merge.

A Federal Credit Union is often member-focused, Voyage FCU and Good Samaritan FCU both pride themselves on working with members individually, which is one of the biggest reasons we decided to partner together. Good Samaritan FCU was also looking for a better way for their younger members to bank. Voyage FCU has fulfilled that void with our tech-savvy online banking system. The merger has been an incredible opportunity for both credit unions and we are excited to move forward as one entity. At the end of the day, we are still a member-focused credit union and have not lost sight of that.
