There’s more to being a Voyage FCU member, especially if you plan to graduate from high school or go back to school in the near future. Our scholarship programs aim to give a budgetary boost to our graduating members for use toward college tuition and fees.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.

Our scholarship application period has ended for now, but more opportunities are just around the corner. We encourage you to check back during our next award cycle for a chance to apply. SCHOLARSHIPS

Voyage High School Scholarships

Each school year, TWO $1,000 awards are available for use by full-time students enrolled in an accredited college, university, trade, or technical school

Who Can Apply

All applicants must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior

  • Be a primary Voyage FCU member in good standing

  • Not be a Voyage FCU employee, director, committee member, or an immediate family member of one

  • Not be a previous Voyage High School scholarship winner.

Scholarships are awarded to recipients yearly at our Annual Meeting.

How to Apply

In your mailed submission, only include:

  • A one-page written essay describing an activity or organization in which you’re involved and why it’s important to you

  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader who is not related to you

  • A completed, signed scholarship application form
    NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

  • An official high school transcript must be submitted/included with the application packet

SCHOLARSHIPS

Thomas Wolff Memorial Scholarship

The Thomas Wolff Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of Voyage FCU board member, Thomas Wolff, to be used toward higher education expenses. There is one $1000 award available for use by non-traditional students enrolled in an accredited U.S. college, university, or technical school per acedemic year.

All applicants must:

  • Be 21 years or older

  • Be a Voyage FCU member in good standing for at least a year

  • Not be a Voyage FCU employee, director, committee member, or an immediate family member of one

  • Not be a previous Thomas Wolff scholarship winner

SCHOLARSHIPS

Darla Erb Leadership Scholarship

The scholarship was established in 2020 to honor Darla Erb, who served as President/CEO at Voyage FCU for over 20 years. She believed that a commitment to lifelong learning, growing your skills and service to others in our communities are vital steps towards personal excellence and compassionate leadership. There is one $1,000 award available for qualified applicants.

Who Can Apply

All applicants must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior applying for admission into a program at an accredited college or technical school OR be an adult currently enrolled at an accredited college for technical school

  • Be female members, primary account holders at Voyage FCU, and in good standing

  • Not be a Voyage FCU employee, director, committee member, or an immediate family member of one

  • Not be a previous Darla Erb scholarship winner

In your mailed submission, only include:

  • A one-page written essay  (Typed, no more than 500 words) describing how your selected education and career path will help you achieve your personal aspirations and help you with service to others

  • A completed, signed scholarship application form
    NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

  • An official high school transcript must be submitted/included with the application packet

  • Provide a written letter of recommendation from a department head/advisor, teacher, or professor, OR from an employer or volunteer agency director
